dot net developer training

Dot Net training was one of the streams in which Infosys DSE trained last year. Dot net was not only a good stream but also distinct from others because from 400-500 DSE only 10 DSE got a chance for Dot net training and they were the first ones who got their location without any reskill.

.NET is a free, cross-platform, open-source developer platform for building many different types of applications.

With .NET, you can use multiple languages, editors, and libraries to build for web, mobile, desktop, games, and IoT.

Dot Net training process flow-Infosys DSE

Every stream in Infosys is divided into 4 sections the section is named as Focus Area and respectively all focus areas are named FA1, FA2, FA3, and FA4. Further, let’s goes deep into each and every focus area.

FA-1

This was our first focused area of dot net training it all started with a leaning of C# and SQL Server and some basic object-oriented approaches like encapsulation, abstraction, inheritance, polymorphism apart from this Exception handling was also taught. FA-1 had 60 marks of the practical test and 40 marks for the objective.

FA-2

This was our second focused area of dot net developer training and in this area, we learned about ADO.NET( data access technology), Entity Framework(Object Relation Mapping), ASP.NET Web API. FA2 had similarly 60 marks of the practical test and 40 marks for the objective.

FA-3

This was our third focused area of dot net developer training and in this area, we taught about HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JS, Typescript, Angular 6. These were basically the UI topics. in this focus area, practical questions were more based on control and wiring up of the UI forms with the payloads being sent to the API calls, not much focus on styling. FA3 also had 60 marks of the practical test and 40 marks for the objective.

FA-4

Finally, we were taught about Secure coding practices(cross-site scripting, SQL Injection, etc), Azure cloud computing and we were evaluated on the Capstone project along with MCQs related to Secure coding practices,
Azure cloud computing

Suggestion for upcoming Infosys DSE

No prerequisite is needed for earning this Dot NET stack here. You will be spoon-fed here but please keep your common sense intact. Quite easy to get through the training but would suggest upcoming batches to learn some other stacks like MERN, MEAN, or spring Boot along with microservices parallel to this stack, it is not mandatory but obviously it will add more in your learning.

Dot Net training use in production and my own experience

I was mapped to Trivandrum likewise some were mapped to Pune, Bangalore, Indore, Bhubaneshwar as well. Currently, new projects are built on ASP.NET core which is cross-platform so, try to learn that as well. I was mapped to a legacy project which was having ASP.NET MVC with knockout JS used in the frontend. There are also some portions of Angular 2+. And the legacy UI is going to be converted to Angular as well to make it loosely coupled. So would suggest you learn angular as well.

Currently, due to Infosys work from home, everyone is doing work remotely and most of the employees got the laptop for the work Infosys is doing there best for maintaining efficiency in our work.
